Stewart Miller met the Alibaba.com team at an event in Edinburgh in 2022, organised by Scottish Development International. Alibaba.com is the world’s biggest business-to-business e-commerce platform. A mutual business relationship was developed that resulted in a further business event held in Glasgow for SMas clients. Following on from this, Stewart convinced the group to make their first visit to the Highlands of Scotland in February 2023. Working with Strategem, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Development International, a senior team from Alibaba.com and their agents attended a 2 day trip to Inverness, to meet with interested companies at an event and at site visits. This business trip was later evaluated by Alibaba.com as a successful mission
